ADMINISTRATION
The National Center for Education Statistics released the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) 2025 long-term trend assessments data for ages 9 and 13.
CONGRESS
The House full Committee on Appropriations released report language and full Committee text for its fiscal year 2027 LHHS appropriations bill. The bill text can be found here. The Committee report can be found here. The House Appropriations Committee subsequently held a full Committee markup of the bill, passing it by a 34 to 28 vote.
The House passed H.R.7892, the No Aid for Ghost Students Act of 2026, by a 249 to 172 vote.
COURTS
A Federal district court judge blocked the Administration’s effort to impose a $100,000 fee on employers seeking to hire foreign workers through the H-1B visa program.
EVENTS
