CONGRESS

U.S. Senate Democrats and Republicans published the list of their respective members’ committee assignments.

U.S House of Representatives Republicans and Democrats have now both published the list of members who will serve on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce.

House Republicans and Democrats have published the list of members who will sit on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce’s subcommittees.

House Republicans and Democrats have published the list of members that will serve on the House Committee on Appropriations’ subcommittees.

The House Committee on Education and the Workforce held its organizational meeting and approved its rules package and oversight plan for the 118th Congress. You can find a recording of the hearing here.

ADMINISTRATION

The White House announced that the Biden Administration’s budget for fiscal year 2024 will be released on March 9.

The Biden Administration released a fact sheet on the impact of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). You can find the U.S. Department of Education’s (ED) 2021 annual report on HEERF here and a press release on the topic here.

ED released a notice of membership for the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI).

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced proposed updates to school meal standards.
