HOUSE and SENATE

The U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to reconvene for legislative business on January 10, 2022.

The U.S. Senate has pro forma sessions scheduled until Monday, January 3, 2022, when the Senate will reconvene for legislative business.

ADMINISTRATION

White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki stated this week that “The president has not made a decision yet” on whether to extend the pause on student loan payments past the current January 31, 2022 expiration date.

U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona issued a statement on the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) recently released “test-to-stay” data.

The Biden Administration released a fact sheet on its investments in Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
