HOUSE and SENATE

The House and Senate are both in recess and will return the week of September 9th.

Senator Johnny Isakson (R-GA) announced that he would retire at the end of 2019, citing health problems. Senator Isakson was and is a long-time member of both the House and Senate education committees and chairs the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee.
