Danica Petroshius, Principal at Penn Hill Group, recently spoke on two panel discussions at the National Conference on Summer Learning – Summer Changes Everything — in Pittsburgh, PA. The first workshop, titled “A Funding Blueprint for Summer Learning Programs,” outlined a funding roadmap for school district and community partners to equip the field for success in using public funding for summer learning in 2013. The second panel, “Inside the Beltway: The Current State of Federal Summer Learning Policy and How to Impact It,” gave an overview of the current federal education policy landscape, and how various policies and proposals could impact summer programs.  Summer Changes Everything is the only national conference devoted entirely to summer learning programs.
