The Biden Administration issued a press release on its student loan forgiveness initiative, stating that 26 million people have provided the U.S. Department of Education (ED) with the information to receive debt relief and that 16 million applications for such relief had been approved.

ED released final rules for Borrower Defense to Repayment (BDR), Total and Permanent Disability Discharge, Closed School Discharge, Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and Interest Capitalization.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) released a blog post on student loan borrowers during the repayment pause.

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) heard oral arguments in Students for Fair Admissions v. University of North Carolina and Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard.
