President Joe Biden announced his intent to appoint new members to the President’s Advisory Commission on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics.
The Biden Administration released a fact sheet on its efforts to “Protect Student Loan Borrowers from Scammers.”
The U.S. Department of Education (ED) sent regulations for Pell Grants for Prison Education Programs, 90/10, Change in Ownership and Change in Control to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) for final review.
ED released guidance on “Discrimination Based on Pregnancy and Related Conditions.”
The White House announced that ED will release recommendations on “the use of AI for teaching and learning by early 2023.”
Federal District Judge Richard Young denied a request for a temporary injunction from the plaintiffs in Frank Garrison v. U.S Department of Education and Miguel Cardona. The case pertained to the Administration’s one-time loan forgiveness initiative.
Federal District Judge William Griesbach dismissed a case filed by the Brown County Taxpayers’ Association. This case pertained to the Administration’s one-time loan forgiveness initiative.
