CONGRESS
The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) passed S. 3392, the Advancing Research in Education Act (AREA), by a 20-1 margin.
The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and the Workforce passed H.R. 6655, A Stronger Workforce for America Act, on a 44-1 vote and H.R. 6585, the Bipartisan Workforce Pell Act, by a 37-8 margin.
The House passed H.R. 1147, the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, on a 330-99 vote.
The House passed H. Res. 927, “Condemning antisemitism on University campuses and the testimony of University Presidents in the House Committee on Education and the Workforce,” on a 303-126 vote.
ADMINISTRATION
The U.S. Department of Education (ED) completed the third session of its negotiated rulemaking effort on student loan debt.
ED released new data from the latest Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) data collection effort.
The U.S. Department of Labor announced a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) for new regulations governing Registered Apprenticeships.
