CONGRESS
The U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 3941 – Schools Not Shelters Act on a 222-201 vote.
ADMINISTRATION
The U.S. Department of Education (ED) released State-by State data on loan forgiveness resulting from Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) payment count corrections.
ED held a public hearing on its forthcoming negotiated rulemaking effort on “authorities granted to the Secretary in HEA Section 432(a), which relate to the modification, waiver, or compromise of Federal student loans.”
