A quick look back at the news from last week. Compiled by Penn Hill Group.

ELECTION

Election results are still being finalized for various States, including the battleground States of Pennsylvania, Nevada, Georgia and Arizona. At the time of this writing CNN has projected Vice President Biden the winner of 279 electoral college votes and the presidency and President Trump the winner of 214 electoral college votes. Pending the results of two runoff elections in January for the two Georgia Senate seats, Republicans are expected to maintain control of the Senate and Democrats are projected to keep control of the House of Representatives with a reduced majority.

ADMINISTRATION

President Trump issued an executive order to establish the President’s Advisory 1776 Commission.

The Trump Administration launched the “Engaging as One Workforce for America” initiative.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) proposed a rule which would change the way H-1B Visas are allocated.
