Penn Hill Group’s Continued Growth
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
As we are all keenly aware, the Federal education policy landscape is constantly evolving. In order to keep up in this ever-changing environment and provide our clients with the highest-quality support and advice, Penn Hill Group has expanded its services and staff.
Earlier this summer, we announced the addition of convenings and training to the services we offer, which help us to better meet the wide variety of our clients’ needs. Today, we are very excited to share the news that we have added staff and strengthened our leadership team here at Penn Hill.
We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Fryer to Penn Hill as a Vice President. Lindsay’s extensive and “fresh from the Hill” experience will add depth and breadth to the Penn Hill team. She has worked in both the House and Senate, bringing an understanding of the people and processes in both chambers. As the Senior Education Policy Advisor for Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-TN) on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, Lindsay has been deeply involved in Congressional deliberations on a wide range of education policy issues ranging from early education to education research to the Every Student Succeeds Act, for which she served as the principal negotiator for Senator Alexander. Lindsay also served as a Professional Staff Member on the House Education and Workforce Committee for Chairman John Kline (R-MN). Prior to that, she worked in the non-profit sector as a Research Associate at the American Institutes for Research. Her bio can be viewed here, and she can be reached at lfryer@pennhillgroup.com.
Additionally, Penn Hill is proud to announce the promotions of two key staff members who play important roles in providing high-quality, effective services and supports to our clients. Kara Marchione has been promoted to Senior Vice President, in recognition of her tremendous success in handling a diverse portfolio of projects as well as taking the initiative to help lead the growth of Penn Hill’s services. Among her roles as Senior Vice President, she will help lead the further expansion of our convenings and training services. Kara’s bio can be viewed here, and she can be reached at kmarchione@pennhillgroup.com.
Harry Shipps has been promoted to Senior Associate, in recognition of his strong work ethic that has made him a critical member of our team. Harry has produced exceptional work, becoming an invaluable asset to many of our clients. In his new role, he will take on more leadership responsibility in client work and internal projects.
